Luscious Lashes

Starting this blog I knew it could potentially have some perks (aside from being my hearts journal) of trying new products and getting to keep them (BONUS!). I was not naive though, to the fact that these perks did come with some work of planning, photographing and reviewing, but are perks nonetheless and I just couldn’t wait for my first one. To be honest, I thought it would take a ton of blog posts and much more presence on the web to connect with fabulous business people willing to work with me. Well one post in and I had that giddy feeling of connecting with a wonderful woman who had faith in my blog and wanted to provide my first reviewed product.

As an avid Facebook user (due to growing a photography business and just being a girl who loves to find a good bargain), I do frequent the swap groups often and kept coming across posts claiming to help give you these luxurious long lashes without all the work of gluing and placing or getting tempys (which I’ve done a time or two) and that could be used on the daily. Boy, was I itnrigued. Especially since I barely have eyelashes (I stupidly decided to see how many I could pull out each bath time during childhood and ‘oddly’ they never turned out to be awesome). So when I was connected with Lisa McGee my world changed. She generously gave me one of her younique eyelash kits to ‘see for myself’ the magic of it all. Must I mention she showed up with one eye glamified by this product and the other just ‘regular.’ You could see the difference from a MILE away… I didn’t really neeeeeeeed to try the product but she let me anyways.

So I ran home and gave it a try. Immediately I was turned off by the fact that you had to put your favourite mascara on first. This seemed a little pointless to me, but I went along with it. I let my own mascara dry as the instructions said and continued on. Next I put on the younique gel on top of my mascara and then immediately the fibers (while gel was still wet). Then another coat of gel on top and WOW! Seriously, I had lucious lashes. It was SUCH a fast process I forgot about the weird necessity of having to use your own mascara (which I doubt you’d even need). I was worried that because I was using fibers, my eyes would be itchy or hurt from any falling ‘debris.’ Not one problem! I wore them all day without them loosing their effect or bothering my eyes. They stayed in place totally!

Removal was easy peasy. I don’t have a huge makeup inventory (heck I don’t even wear foundation) so I was nervous that my Avon makeup remover would fail me and I’d have fibers all in my eyes. Nope. I washed my face as per usual and used my no name cream makeup remover and it came off no problem. I did have to use two cotton pads but it was well worth it. One thing I must mention to have full disclosure is that they don’t look like false eyelashes (perfect due to the fact they are factory made to precision end to end and tip to tip) but they do look more natural/real. The fibers stick to your actual lashes so they don’t part them to all be symmetrical BUT they do make your current lashes longer, fuller while keeping them natural looking (lusciously natural) and are worth every darn penny!

I am dreading the day that my new eyelash magic runs out but I will be getting more. Christmas is around the corner and it is certainly going on my list;  it should go on yours too! This company actually sells a variety of beauty products but is known for their eyelash product (obviously). They utilize scientific research to ensure that their products contain high quality ingredients to enrich and nourish the skin. I think almost all their stuff is organic and gluten free!  They have some pretty amazing Black Friday deals about to come on so make sure to give Lisa a shout!

This was not a paid post. The thoughts are my true opinion of the product. I did get to keep the product though (and still use it all the time!). 🙂
