Today marks 16 weeks into my pregnancy; 4 months along already! Although I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever (since I knew the second I was able to), I just can’t wait to experience this trimester! I am impatiently waiting for those tiny flutters from our little girl to appear.
I have been doing a horrible (non-existent) job in documenting my weeks. I actually haven’t taken any weekly bump photos or journaled my experience. Well, that is about to change. I’m making it a priority to myself and our little girl to document this incredible journey, and will share it all here. From weird cravings, experiences and of course the growing bump!
For now, I will share with you the decor I created for our gender reveal party. I purchased the pom poms, but other than that I made everything in the images. I spent (quite a few) hours creating the blue and pink backdrops, the bunting and the labels for the water bottles (these labels matched the Facebook invitation I had created). I LOVE spicing up water bottles this way and have tried to do so since my first attempt at our housewarming party about 3 years ago. I am also learning that I have a keen interest in invitation design and have been studying a program which will allow me to create prints and invitations!
The backyard was decorated (thanks to my mom) and can be seen here. I just included some of my homemade bunting and had my mom scatter paper lanterns I purchased a few months back (pre-planned those ;)), all over the backyard.
I tried to get some food ideas from Pinterest (the caramel skor grapes and cotton candy bunches) but my mother in law went the extra mile to add pink and blue where she could on the food table (cake pops, cupcakes etc).
I don’t have many images as we were running late and guests had already arrived before all the food was out. So I rushed to snap these images to share with you. My settings were a teeny bit off, but oh well! This girl was too anxious to be too concerned.
