How far along? 22 Weeks!
Baby is now the size of: Papaya
Gender: A GIRL
Movement: The best feeling in the world!
Weird Food cravings: Yup! This week I had one of those “weird” pregnancy combo cravings. I needed Macdonald’s fries dipped in a vanilla milkshake (their milkshake specifically). Guilty goodness!
Sleep: Yikes, it’s getting quite uncomfortable. Not even sure why as my belly size is very manageable but I tend to wake a million times in the night and never truly be comfortable. I wake up more tired than when I went to bed. Thankfully my girlfriend let me borrow her Snoogle and it’s definitely a necessity!
Emotional moment this week: This week included the one year anniversary of losing our little boy Liam. The build up to the dreadful day was quite emotional. Visiting the little man was even more surreal and unnatural. One step back and two step forward with grief I tell ya! Luckily our little girl will have a permanent Liam Ray of sunshine on her.
Best moment this week: In a weird sense, visiting our little man’s resting place allowed me to realize that my heart is forever wide open for him. Although I knew that, it was a nice reminder that my heart will only open wider for each of our children and not diminish by life’s journey and new additions.
Excited For: The nursery! The room is gutted and paint chips are narrowed down. Of course it will be flamingo themed and I’m excited to share the journey with you!
Makes me Laugh: Friends are starting to try to squeeze out little girl’s name from us. It’s funny seeing what their guesses are and neat being reminded of old names we have mentioned in the past. Unfortunately, her name is in the vault and we will not be spilling the beans!
