How far along? 24 Weeks (6 Months!! This I can’t Believe!)
Baby is now the size of: Corn on The Cob
Uterus Size: I read it’s the size of a soccer ball…wowee!
Weight Gain: Last doctor’s appointment I had gained 4 pounds this entire pregnancy making me 119.2lbs. But I feel like within the last couple days a little extra has stuck around. Give my boxer Lily all the credit for my weight as she’s the one who keeps me very exercised (hikes at the dog park, multiple brisk walks per day, backyard play etc).
Gender: Still in awe it’s A GIRL 🙂
Movement: It honestly seems like baby has herself on a schedule. I now expect her little bumps and flutters at certain times of the day.
Food cravings: Danishes! I really seem to enjoy them in all sorts of flavours.
Food Aversions: Quinoa and Bread with scent. I find the more non bakery style-Dempster type bread (fake-ish) really has a stink to it, gross!
Worst moment this week: This week I cried over everything and anything. It was to the point where sometimes I would even begin to laugh because it was so absurd to have no reason to be crying at all. What a rollercoaster ride this week has been. Tears streamed down this face because our washing machine doesn’t work and I had to do every load twice. Then I cried some more because it feels like our new set is never coming. A little sulk because the nursery paint colour wasn’t exxxxactly like my vision, then tears because I realized I’d have to start all over and more tears because of all the time I had ‘wasted.’ Just the other day I was sitting with Beau and out of no where started crying about the fact that I spent the week crying, and then we both giggled about it.
Best moment this week: Every time I had a session of tears Beau was absolutely darling and just held me lovingly in his arms, saying all the right things while letting me go through the motions <3. I am so grateful for his ever growing patience with me. It was also SO nice to have a long weekend this weekend. We relaxed, hung out and got quite a bit done on our home renos.
Excited For: The nursery project. Although I have had a little blip in the radar with my paint, I am still very excited to see her little room come to life
Thank you for all your advice, comments, emails and messages in regards to my stroller stress post! I am reading every single one thoroughly to make a good decision for my family. I REALLY appreciate it!
