How far along? 25 Weeks Today (I prefer to count in weeks as it seems I have much more time until due date than when using months to determine when baby will arrive).
Baby is now the size of: Eggplant.
Gender: Girlie GIRL 🙂
Movement: I have started video taping the bumps and flutters.
Weight Gain: I don’t have my doctors appointment for a week but I absolutely think my face is chunky-ing up (dreading this!).
Food Cravings: I love sweets! But this week I have been craving Green Apples.
Food Aversions: I seem to have less and less interest in more and more foods. I am enjoying sweets, fruits and veggies. Meats have been totally throwing me off.
Worst moment this week: I learnt the hard way; a pregnant woman cannot function off of four hours sleep. The entire next day will be a complete emotional mess. I had my crazy lady moment where I bolted out of the house, drove 20 minutes away and parked my car at a conservation to just sulk. I then made my way home with a poutine that I ate by myself in the bathroom with the door locked. Drama, drama, drama… aka hormones, hormones, hormones … all due to lack of sleep! By the end of the day I felt like a defeated 28 year old toddler.
Best moment this week: My university besties and I arranged a long overdue dinner date and it was so nice! It has been about a year and a half since the last time we hung out face to face and there were so many magical things to catch up on (my bump, an engagement and some really exciting travel plans). Ironically, it did feel like I just saw them yesterday but also made me realize how much I miss them on the daily <3 They of course, being the awesome ladies that they are, spoiled the crap out of my little girl. It was so fun opening the really generous gift that never seemed to end. She got the cutest of outfits but also a seriously beautiful addition to her nursery. You’ll see it come the nursery reveal.
Nursery Update: I have finally finished painting (trim, doors and all)! I did actually switch up my colour for the last coat as I really had a look in mind and the initial coat wasn’t quite right. It was worth it.
