How far along? 34 Weeks!
Baby is now the size of: Pineapple. Growing Girl.
Movement: I finally captured one of those videos where baby is pushing against the belly morphing it into different shapes! So bizarre, but so magical. I can also feel her smaller movements much more strongly (like moving her hand or foot). I can’t quite distinguish if it is a hand or a foot but those little actions are not so subtle.
Food cravings: This past weekend I was shipped away to my parents place because the main floor of our home is in full construction (you’ll hear all about it on the blog this weekend) and it so happened to be Thanksgiving. This meant my mom made over a dozen of the best apple pies I have ever had in my life, and well, I literally ate almost TWO to myself over the 48 hour timespan I was there. Of course, not at once. I had a slice every few hours, eventually just eating it straight out of its little tin pan! I still needed chocolate and unfortunately they didn’t have any (I looked in every cupboard, drawer and nook I could think of including asking my brother a million times if he had a secret stash or any old Halloween candy LOL). Thankfully Beau’s mom had a variety of chocolate desserts that she sent over when I got home.
Weight Gain: I blame the apple pies! I gained 4 pounds in the last two weeks weighing in at 129.4 pounds.
Doctor’s Appointment: My doctor wasn’t actually present this week as she was in the middle of a c-section so I just did the regular check-up things with the nurse and student resident doctor. During the uterus measurement, they also feel to see if baby’s head is in the descending position (as I’m getting close to the finish line) and both ladies thought baby girl might be in a breech position. Although they weren’t entirely certain and said it was too early for it to be a concern, they did book me in for an appointment next week to confirm with my doctor. When I came home, baby girl had the hiccups and I didn’t think she was breech according to where she was hiccuping. So fingers crossed tight, I do not want a C-section!
Photo: We let Lily into the studio while taking these images and forced her to sit by my feet for some cute photos. She wasn’t having any of it and the little lady hopped up by herself onto the hay barrel and started posing! She even came in for some belly cuddles. She’s been my little sidekick for the last few weeks, not leaving my side and cuddling me like crazy.
