How far along? 36 Weeks! Almost full term.
Baby is now the size of: Large Cantaloupe.
Movement: Every time she wiggles or has a little dance party I’m doing the downward dog yoga pose, forward leaning inversion and the breech tilt while playing music and sometimes adding a little light to try to turn this monkey. Of course, she is most active at midnight, like clockwork!
Food cravings: Hershey’s Cookies and Creme has been an absolute dream!
Nursery Update: Just investigating a cool little light system that may be added to the decor.
Renovation Update: Well the kitchen floor is down and looks beautiful. Beau did an amazing job! We now need to grout it, remove the rest of the cabinets, finish off the electrical, sound proof and add all the necessary drywall.
Hospital Update: I went in for my appointment on Tuesday at the hospital to visit the breech specialist. The appointment started with a routine stress test that baby girl passed with flying colours. Then lead into the confirmation that she is still in fact breech. I was all for booking the version (called External Cephalic Version) with this specific Doctor but learnt he wasn’t actually in next week to do the procedure. He still booked it but with the doctor that is on call that day. Since this procedure has a probability of concluding in an emergency C-Section he said it is best that the doctor who is in do the version incase they have to perform the C-section; they don’t like swapping care in the middle of it. This had me upset as I had full confidence in the doctor I was dealing with and don’t like the fact the doctor which I was booked with is extremely young. I do not feel comfortable with anyone without an immense amount of experience doing this procedure as I feel it is quite specialized. I have decided to cancel it and let nature take it’s course. The support from you mamas on social media and my friends at home has been so powerful! So many babies have been breeched until the bitter end and just flip on their own. I am not going to toy with fate with the version and see if little girl turns from my non invasive methods. If she doesn’t flip, well then I have to suck it up don’t I? I have days when I’m “okay” with it and others where I certainly am not (as discussed on my instagram here). What a rollercoaster. Still waiting to see when my scheduled C-section day is as it has not been made yet.
Doctor’s Appointment: Following the hospital visit I had my routine doctor’s appointment. Another pound gained this week! Currently sitting at 132.6 pounds.
Outfit: The dress in these photos is actually a dress I wore when I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friends weddings last summer. My growing bump gives the toes a little peak but other than that it was perfect! It is a type of Henkaa dress (the dress you can wear 100 ways). I’ve attached a couple photographs from her gorgeous wedding.
