Is it appropriate to swoon over your own engagement images because that’s what I am currently doing. These are Pinterest worthy and I owe it all to the amazing Misty from Misty Blue Photography. She seriously delivered my entire vision (and then some) with these photographs.
I mentioned in my previous wedding post how I really (like really really REAAALLY) wanted a stone building (or wall) for our wedding but as hard as I tried it just wasn’t working out. Since I can’t have it on my wedding day I thought the engagement session would be the perfect opportunity to include it. Luckily, I knew just the spot; Rockwood Conservation.
I actually came across this venue a couple years ago when an acquaintance posted images from a wedding they attended and I instantly thought I’d be getting married here. Unfortunately, after some quick research the deal breaker was that you have to be shut down by 11:00pm and that just didn’t seem worth it. In true Camilla fashion though, I stored this little gem in the back of my memory bank for future needs and our engagement session was it.
My jaw was dropped when we arrived and I spent the entire session oohing and ah-ing at how beautiful and perfect this location is. I was a giddy little girl the entire time basically dancing and skipping around with a huge obnoxious smile plastered on my face. I felt like an absolute princess with my prince charming and our beautiful babe in tow. We laughed, we teased, we kissed (soooooo many times ; thanks Misty) and just had fun (moreso me than Beau; what a trooper). It was magical and I’ll never forget the experience.
It was absolutely worth the two hour trek to get there. So much so in fact, that Misty also captured some headshots for me which I can’t wait to share! This place will be seeing us again, that’s for sure!
For now, wishfully you enjoy these as much as I do. Part two with more images will be shared soon.
