We have been busy. So busy in fact that we feel like walking zombies. Poor Beau has been working around the clock for months trying to piece our home back together (well actually totally revamp it) and I’ve been puttering away as much as possible to keep it in order; and it’s taking it’s toll. Not to mention I’m two weeks away from our due date (as of tomorrow)! Every night this week I had the best intentions of getting 37 week photos completed and blogging our 36 week recap but every night I said “tomorrow.” Well, “tomorrow” is now our 38 week mark (Eeeek) so I opted for an easy and quick in studio shoot just to have 37 week images and do a 36 week recap. On Thursday I will share 38 week photos and our 37 week recap 🙂
How far along? 37 Weeks! Full term!
Baby is now the size of: Winter Melon?
Movement: She’s getting squishy in there and movements are now absolutely visible as she squirms all over. I haven’t had any rib incidents and I guess I should be thankful to a breech baby for that one.
Food cravings: Sweet Tooth! I still have had a couple Hershey’s Cookies and Creme but thanks to Halloween I’ve realized I love Crispy Crunch!
Nursery Update: A really neat lighting piece has been confirmed and her new rug has come in. I still have to take it out of packaging to see if it “works” but waiting for all the construction to be finished in there.
Renovation Update: Kitchen install happens on November 3!
Hospital Update: We had our birthing unit tour at the hospital this week. Although it was neat and we did learn some pointers; I was disappointed it was a group tour. Some of the questions (bless new moms) were bizarre. For instance, one expecting mom was really concerned if the strict (but free) WIFI would allow her on Kijiji while she was there (for what!?), and another expecting mom asked if the space ship looking bath tub (what I call it) on the birthing unit was cleaned after each use. I was moreso concerned with the fact that I wouldn’t be using this amazing looking massage tub due to a scheduled C-section we were in the middle of arranging. We also officially cancelled our version (external cephalic version) which was scheduled for Wednesday November 4th. My gut was telling me not to proceed and I had to follow mama instincts on this one!
Doctor’s Appointment: No weight gain this week, still sitting at 132.6 pounds. I’m surprised by this as I’ve eaten more Halloween Candy than I should have. Our C-section date has finally been set! I’ve been calling the surgeons office all week trying to pin it down with no luck and all it took was a quick call from my doctor (she will only be assisting and not doing the procedure) and she found out the date. It happens to be……….OUR DUE DATE! I thought this was a bit odd as usually when scheduled they are a week early to try and avoid labour and therefore an emergency section but I guess the hospital must be super busy!Fingers crossed she either flips around or doesn’t come until her big birthday!
Backdrop: I didn’t have the energy to fix it up and align everything for these images so it’s a bit wrinkly/out of place. Lily sitting pretty definitely makes up for it though <3
